How to Add Links

💡 Quick Tip: You can add links directly from your profile or from the Settings page!
Adding Your First Link
- Log in to your hoo.be account
- Go to your profile page
- Click the "+ Add Link" button
- Enter the URL you want to link to
- Add a title for your link
- (Optional) Add a description
- Click "Save"
Link Fields Explained
- URL: The destination where visitors will be directed
- Title: The clickable text shown on your profile (max 60 characters)
- Description: Optional extra info (max 120 characters)
- Thumbnail: Optional custom image for the link
Title Best Practices
- ✓ Use action words (Shop, Watch, Subscribe, Download)
- ✓ Keep it short and clear
- ✓ Include keywords your audience searches for
- ✓ Add emojis to make links stand out
Adding Different Link Types
Social Media Links
Social platforms are automatically detected and display with their icon:
- Click "+ Add Link"
- Paste your social profile URL (e.g., instagram.com/yourusername)
- The platform icon and name are detected automatically
- Customize the title if desired
- Save
Embedded Content
For YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, etc.:
- Copy the video or song URL
- Click "+ Add Link"
- Paste the URL - it will be detected as embeddable
- Choose "Embed" or "Standard Link" format
- Add a title and save

Editing Links
- Go to your profile or Settings
- Find the link you want to edit
- Click the Edit icon (pencil)
- Make your changes
- Click "Save Changes"
Deleting Links
- Find the link you want to remove
- Click the Delete icon (trash can)
- Confirm deletion
⚠️ Note: Deleted links cannot be recovered. All analytics data for that link will also be lost.
Link Visibility Settings
Control when and who sees your links:
- Active/Inactive: Turn links on or off without deleting them
- Schedule: Set links to appear only during specific dates (Pro)
- Featured: Highlight important links with special styling (Pro)
Troubleshooting
Link Not Saving?
- Ensure the URL is valid (starts with https://)
- Check that you've added a title
- Verify you haven't reached your link limit (Free: 10, Pro: unlimited)
- Clear browser cache and try again
Thumbnail Not Showing?
- Upload a custom thumbnail (recommended size: 400x400px)
- Some sites block automatic thumbnail fetching
- File must be under 2MB and in JPG/PNG format
